Modern day folklore, Lanka is about love, loyalty, betrayal and justice

Lanka is an emotional journey of man torn between the loyalty for his mentor and the empathy he feels for a girl; a journey of a modern-day ‘Asur’ (Devil) who chose to be a man; a journey of a man who would be termed a traitor by some and a righteous by others.

"Lanka" is a touching journey of a person who is torn between the faithfulness for his guide and the understanding he feels for a girl; a trip of a modern-day 'Asur' (Devil) who had chosen to be a man; a trip of a man who would be named as a conspirator by some and a virtuous by others.

A modern day myth, “Lanka” is a film which contains love, faithfulness, disloyalty and fairness.

Phantom India dicerted by Louis Malle(circa 1964) is about three hours long. Not quite a romance. It could have been made pre partition and bears no relationship to the modern India of Delhi. The historical course it predicted has not come to pass in what we think of as india now, but will be found in more places than not. Worth a watch to inform your experience in 2011. Looking forward to every post. C
